Impact Filmmaking telling stories that will change the world.

The Human Rights Media Trust

It is our belief that well-crafted documentary film is a powerful tool for engaging people, on a number of levels, with the key social issues of our time. The right film in the right hands can be like rocket fuel for a cause, campaign or social movement. Real people in real situations, compelling storytelling and visually arresting photography, combine together to move human emotion in ways that words alone on a page cannot touch. It is our intention to continue to provide the kind of material that induces the question, ‘What can I do? What is my role in this?’ and to activate people at all levels of society to play a part in defending human rights and democracy.

“We think of film as a bullet that ignites consciousness We must serve as the stone that breaks silence, or the bullet that starts the battle. Poetry is not a goal in itself. Among us poetry is a tool to transform the world.”

—Raymundo Gleyzer (though also attributed to Ernesto Ardito, co-director of the wonderful documentary Raymundo)
